An update from New York hardcore legends MADBALL:
"We're sad to announce that after six years with the band, our drummer Rigg Ross will be moving on. We'd like to wish him all the best for the future, and he will have our love and respect forever. At the same time, we'd like to welcome Mackie Jayson (formerly of CRO-MAGS and BAD BRAINS) to the band."

Rigg Ross played his last show at the 2008 "Black 'n Blue Bowl" on April 5th in New York. After an amazing set he handed over his sticks to Mackie and joined Freddy up front to sing "Pride (Times Are Changing)". A memorable goodbye from a great artist.

After many years with Biohazard, Billy Graziadei decided to venture on his own way in 2004. Suicide City began when Billy met vocalist Karl Bernholtz while producing his band, the Groovenicks. They then brought in drummer Danny Lamagna (on recommendation from friends in Sworn Enemy), who was soon joined by guitarist AJ Marchetta. After meeting bassist Jennifer Arroyo while on the road with Kittie, Billy pledged to join forces with this beautifully intense woman! The dream team was complete. Alan is one of the founding members, bassist and primary lyrists for the group Life of Agony. After recording several records and touring the world for the last 15 years developing a cult following with LOA, Alan decided to follow his instincts and make the punk record he had always talked about making. JAYA THE CAT - Click here to visit them on myspace
Originally from Boston (U.S.), now based in Amsterdam, Jaya the Cat have a career that is as distinctive as is their musical style. They have been strikingly described as Boston's answer to Joe Strummer's call to arms, playing an integrated combination of dub, ska, rock steady guitars, the odd touch of metal, and a resultant sound best described as 'punk reggae'. Lyrically, the band hits home with songs concerning the issues of day to day living combined with outright critique on politics. Jaya The Cat embody the integrity, passion, and attitude that define punk rock and reggae. The new album will be one of off the best punk/reggae/ska albums of the year and is set for release in September.

NYHC legends Madball sign a European deal with ISR
I Scream Records is very proud to welcome NYHC pioneers Madball to the family!  Label owner Laurens Kusters said of the signing, “Over the last few years we’ve worked very close with Madball on releases such as the “Resistance Tour DVD Volume 2” and the “Worldwide Tribute To The Real Oi Compilation”. To be able to work this highly anticipated new full-length, due for release in September 2007, is an icing on the cake in this 13th year of business for the label.”
Madball is currently in the studio working on their highly anticipated 7th full-length album with a title still TBA.  Madball, a pummeling staple of New York Hardcore since the band’s inception in 1988, is one of the few remaining hardcore bands that can lay claim to achieving high marks in regards to influence, longevity, and reputation, while also maintaining an undying sprit that represents what the heart of hardcore is all about.  Often imitated but never duplicated, Madball has managed to perfect its patented chugging, grooving NYHC sound while always maintaining the same street-life inspired attitude.  Look forward to more of this with their upcoming full-length in September of 2007!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS:
Another exciting year has gone by and it was a damn crazy one. 2005, 12 months of changes, delays and lots of new opportunities. With 2 amazing releases (yes very unlike us), the 4th I Scream Records studio album from Discipline 'Downfall Of The Working Man", which has broken all sales records, and "Kill A Celebrity" the long-awaited new Ramallah record, 2005 is a year to remember. We know that for some of you out there X-Mas & New-Year won't be the same without the expected releases of "Last Chance To Dance", the Deviate DVD and the Resistance Tour DVD volume 3, which both got delayed due to some productional matters. We will however make it up to y'all cause both releases have been confirmed for February & March of 2006.

But the madness doesn't stop here cause in 2006 we're bringing you new releases from local heroes Convict, Green Lizard, 3 Lost Maniacs and Uppercut, re-releases from Wrecking Crew, Token Entry and Maximum Penalty and lots more. (Cause) We've got lots more in store for you all but we don’t want to spoil the surprise now, do we ? No? Alright then! Legendary Leeway front man, Eddie Sutton and I Scream Records have some amazing plans for 2006. Enough?

Have a great holiday and keep it safe.

May the year 2006 fulfill all your dreams and goals in life,
